Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after nights of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
